Hi

Today I found a Homebox in the garbage-room. And I managed to repair it (the wireless card was out of place, probably the previous owner droped it or something). Now I would like to access it to change passwords for the WLAN, port-stuff and so on.

I also do not have a DSL-connection, but ethernet right away. Will it work as a router? There is no specific WAN-port.

Wippies seems like a nice project by the way, and I would love to contribute with this repaired AP.

It can use ethernet as an uplink to connect to internet, but without username and password to My Wippies -controlsite, you can't get full power from the box. So I suggest to contact to brainslayer at dd-wrt and donate box for good purposes.  Grin

Send the serial number of the box to support@wippies.com.
Go to 192.168.0.1 with the box connected to your computer, go to settings, click on Ethernet Uplink and then save the setting at the bottom of the page.
Once the box is set to ethernet uplink, connect the rj45 to LAN4 (That´s the WAN port)

Now you just wait for an answer from wippies FI and soon you will have access to my.wippies.

Best of Luck.

I've got the box up and running, but they would not give me login for my.wippies.com. =/ All default settings, but hey, I got free wlan from it =)
