Still looking for portforwarding to work. Running in bridge mode feels rather insecure.

Any news regarding a new version.

It has been more than a month when there was made a last post in this topic. I think that there will be a port forwarding opportunity in next year.
or 2010 if Wippies project still runs.

GOD DAMMIT..
We NEED PORT FORWARDING!!!!!

Port forwarding for wifibox has been mentioned in wippies newsletter dated 9.7.2008 16:33:59 on the wippies frontpage in finnish, http://www.wippies.com/bulletin.phtml?id=51

Quote
WifiBoxiin on lisätty port forwarding eli porttiohjaus-tuki.

Translation: Port forwarding support has been added to WifiBox.

(emphasis mine)

Still waiting...

Hi...

any more news on the port forwarding? This does not appear on my.wippies.com, or if I connect directly to the Wifi box.

It's a shame the only support seems to be for the people that have paid for the Homebox... very disappointing.

so...Wippies, please sort this out for us to use. So far i've liked the idea of this service, but it only works if you keep your end of the deal. Please don't make this fail like every other good incentive there has been!

AND PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS POST.

*Pressing the big IGNORE-button*  Tongue

No but seriously, I empathize with you as I know that this is for some people very important to have. It's quite frustrating to have to wait, but I can assure you that the technicians are working as hard as they can to fix this issue.

What did you mean with the homebox getting support when paying? That box is free also.

Well we just have to be patience for the moment and wait.

Best regards

Ok, apologies for that then. I thought the Homebox was a paid service. I should have checked before I slagged it off Smiley

Anyway, I hope something happens with this because it would be very useful...

This was said because of frustration, not just to annoy people!

Yepp, only thing we can do right now is to hope that it happens.

And you where partly right, it was not a paid service..... but it is from now on.  Tongue
(It was free from the start but if you want to order one now then you will have to pay. For everyone who already have ordered one before they will NOT pay anything, just to clear it out.)

ok, so it has been a bit of time now since this has been requested.

you have not updated this post, and there is no news about this and no settings in my wippies....

It's now painfully obvious that you are not interested in implementing this feature as you would have done it already.

So unfortunately I think I will have to go  back to my fully featured D-Link router since that cdan do what I need. I joined up to wippies because it is a cool idea and seemed really innovative, but when you do not support the people that believe in it then it becomes less appealing.

It's not even like it would be hard for you because the hardware is there, and only requires you to include it in your code. So why the laziness?

So then guys... can you not even answer me? That's amazing. You are scared of the debate.

Well thanks a lot.

Hi jimbobstan,
It has been quite a busy time  lately for the support and some things have happened that have affected the forum.
We are certainly not afraid to go into " debate "on this topic.
I have´t heard anything new about this but I hope to get more information after new Year's Eve.
We also hope that PF should come as soon as possible and we point that out every day.

We obviously want everyone to be happy and satisfied with the box, but it may take some time before we get there.
*Note that the Swedish Support does not have as much info as the Finnish.

I'm glad that you are still interested in this because it is an important part of the functionality.

Thankyou for your time.

Yes, FW gets disabled as well when using bridge mode. Bridge mode is a temporary alternative solution for this.
