New add-on for Wippies G-Lite and Big-G services, Vault back-up client for securing your important data.

The software is custom made for our users, it is secure, easy-to-use and does not jam your computer like some other back-up or antivirus software. You can choose the folders you want to back-up.

Just try it, install the software from:
http://www.wippies.com/download/vault/installer.exe
You have to have a G-Lite or Big-G account for this, since the data has to be put somewhere. Even the G-Lite will get you started, 500 Megs will take you a long way since all the data is zipped before transfer, to make the transfer faster and save the space from the network storage. The data is also encrypted at the same time, on your computer. This way, it is secure at all times, during transfer and storage. Data can be recovered anywhere, as long as you have Internet connection. You can restore all data or just the files you want.

One more thing. Make sure that the password for your account (BigG or GLite) is secure, since your data will be behind that password. For example passwords (and do not use these as your passwd) "orange" is really bad, ooorra is pretty useless too, but 0ranG3 would suit just fine. Just a random combination is best, like J4r€1b (form it from a string of words or a saying, to remember it)

Thought it might be time for a small tip (for those who have problems with wippies vault + vista) instead of going to "Run" when you started to download the file, you can save it to your desktop and right click to select options. Then choose to run it in compatibility mode for windows xp + to run as an administrator, then it is time for installation. It may have problems with the privileges a little later in the installation but select continue then you have the pleasant service wippies vault installed after the restart ..
In order to solve some problems with vista, go to c:\tenue\davbackup and select properties on the .exe-files that you find there, select compatibility and check the box for windows xp compatibility of these, then time for the reboot again, and now you may see the Wippies Vault icon, and it is just to run
(Tested on windows vista home premium sp1 + business edition, and windows vista without service packs)

Issues: It don't work to browse folders but it may work if you shut down UAC then it seems to give the opportunity to run the addition of directory.

Hope this will work for you guys aswell!  Cheesy
