Wippies Mailbox Settings for Mobile Phones
You can read Wippies Mail with mobile phones which support email reading.
Instructions to set up Wippies mail account with S60 mobile phones
These instructions were made using Nokia N82. There may be some differences between different phone models.
Setting up the mailbox
Go to:
- Menu -> Messaging -> Options
- Settings -> E-mail -> Options
- New mailbox -> Start
- IMAP4 -> Next
- Type in your email address: example@wippies.com -> Next
- Incoming mail server: imap.wippies.com -> Next
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.wippies.com -> Next
Now the settings are configured and you can select the access point you want to use for accessing the internet. Select "Always ask" if use use different access points (GPRS, WLAN).
- Access point in use: Always ask -> Next
- Mailbox name: Wippies -> Finish
Now the mailbox is configured and you need to set your user name and password.
Set up the login options
Go again to:
- Menu -> Messaging -> Options
- Settings -> Email -> Select mailbox "Wippies" which you just created.
- Connections settings -> Incoming e-mail
- User name: example@wippies.com
- Password: your password set at my.wippies.com
- Security (ports): Off (or SSL/TLS if you want to use secure connection)
- Port: Default (or 993 if using SSL/TLS)
- -> Back
- Outgoing e-mail
- User name: example@wippies.com
- Password: your password set at my.wippies.com
- Security (ports): Off (or SSL/TLS if you want to use secure connection)
- Port: Default (or 465 if using SSL/TLS)
Downloading messages
Now all the settings are set and you can start writing and fetching mails. First you can download all the messages:
- Menu -> Messaging -> Select the Wippies mailbox
- Options -> Retrieve e-mail
- You can connect to your mailbox by clicking:
- Options -> Connect
